I am a Taiwanese-American visual artist based in Queens, New York. My artwork often centers around themes of identity and childhood framed within the aesthetic of folklore, fables and fairy tales. My young subjects exist in macabre, fantastical worlds and look back at viewers with a blunted gaze. They lie somewhere between predator and prey, disillusioned about the lack of magic and autonomy in the transition into adulthood.
